What happens in a tapestry if you pause between the design and the weaving. This workshop will focus on that pause, using sampling to look at the different possibilities inherent in the design. Participants will come prepared withs design and a selection of possible yarns to use for samples. The aim is to take chances and explore the color and textural potential of the design before starting on the tapestry proper. There will be many samples to look at as well as individual discussions.
Students should come with a prepared design, warped loom and possibly a tapestry design they would like to revisit.
