Collage to Cartoon with Molly Elkind

This is the new, expanded version of Molly's popular Collage to Tapestry Cartoon workshop.  Veterans of that class and new students will both find it useful.  This class includes making your own patterned papers for collage, exploring mark-making, and refining your collage for weaving.  Investigate open warps, irregular edges, stitch and mixed media to bring a collage feel to your weaving.  Leave with a cartoon ready to weave.  Optional:  Use a grayscale palette of fine wools to weave a sample of your design. Workshop fee includes instruction, materials and lunch each day. $525.
